Abbey Ponds

Set within the beautiful grounds of Newstead Abbey we have 4 lovely ponds full of fish in natural settings

Pond 1 has a nice head of carp ,barbel, loads of usual silvers.

Pond 2 is nice size "stockie match" pond that boasts a good head of bream up to 5lb , roach, rudd, ide, tench, crucians, perch and also a few small carp and barbel were put in back in 2009. It is a delight and can be fished with a pole and light tackle.

Pond 3 monks is another mixed coarse pond. Also some nice Pike and Perch fishing, spinning allowed.

Pond 4 is a Specimen Carp pond. Carp up to 40lb , many in the 20, and a fair few 30lb
